The mind on psilocybin

From my own observations & experiences, my mind on psilocybin is much different than my sober/everyday operating mind. I like to refer to my everyday waking mind as 3D as emotions, thoughts, worries, fears, etc all come and go as they normally have for the past 15-20 years or so. There's a rhythm and reason to almost everything I'm experiencing in my 3D mind. This state of mind is also referred to as the beta state (reference the chart below) if you're like me and you've studied Dr. Joe Dispenza's work, he breaks down the different states of consciousness in depth. To simplify things & for an easy example, let's pretend you're in school, beta brain waves would refer to the time you're listening to the professor, taking notes, and calculating answers. Alpha waves would refer to the state where you've dozed off a bit and you begin to daydream about the past or future, as you can see below; this is also referred to as relaxed reflection. The Theta state is where we can start to manipulate our thoughts are re-wire our minds on a conscious level. Our brain waves act as sculpting tools to help us release old patterns and ways of thinking, in order to overcome past limitations and fears.
So, how does all of this relate to micro-dosing?

While micro-dosing, I experience the alpha brain wave frequency. For me, this is not a good time to be problem-solving, sending emails, calculating bills, etc. Rather, I have space freed up in order to reflect, let go of unwanted stagnant emotions and I gain a new perspective to experiences and situations in my life.
When I microdose, I set aside time away from work and tasks in order to fully reap the benefits of this altered state of everyday waking consciousness. Although you may not feel too different, psilocybin is absolutely working on a conscious and subconscious level. With increased brain connectivity, its great to get out into nature, create art, dance, practice yoga- anything that can amplify you further into the flow state where you can allow yourself to feel freely while the medicine does its work.

In conclusion, I ask you to bring awareness to the activities you partake in while microdosing. Start to become aware of the shift in your consciousness & time-block space for yourself away from tasks and work during this time. Especially if you're looking to microdose to heal depression, anxiety or PTSD. We need to break out of the Beta brain wave pattern and dip into Alpha and Theta to allow true healing to take place.
